Clarissa Chevalier (she/her) is an art historian, interdisciplinary researcher, and writer. She is currently working towards a PhD in art history at UC San Diego with a specialization in the Program for Interdisciplinary Environmental Researched, received an MA in art history from Savannah College of Art and Design, and a BA in cinema arts and art history from Columbia College Chicago. Chevalier’s research areas are underpinned broadly by the global environmental crisis and include contemporary science/art collaborations, posthuman feminism, expanded definitions of science, craft mediums with an emphasis on ceramics, and the ecological practices of historically under-recognized artists, including the work of Agnes Denes.
